Bursary for Huguenot Research
The Huguenot Society grants an annual bursary to support and encourage research into Huguenot individuals and communities. The deadline for 2027 is yet to be determined. Further details on the bursary are available from the downloadable 2026 bursary notice and the application form here.

2026-27 Lecture Series
The Society's 2026-27 lecture programme begins at 18.00 (6.00 pm) on Wednesday, 4 November 2026, with the 9th Randolph Vigne Memorial Lecture, delivered by Prof. Sugiko Nishikawa, at the Medical Society of London, Lettsom House, Chandos Street, London W1G 9EB. She will speak on 'A citizen of the world: James Porter, a Huguenot ambassador to the Sublime Porte in the mid-18th century', in which she will show that though 18th-century British ambassadors to Constantinople traditionally endeavoured to protect the city's Huguenot community, James Porter did this to an exceptional degree. He had been raised within a distinct Huguenot circle - although his grandson's claim that his father was a Jacobite and his mother a Huguenot refugee is a misconception - and this background motivated Porter to relief efforts for Protestants in tune with the Age of Enlightenment.
